Nadeau: Saratoga Play of the Day Sunday 7.16.23
“PLAY of the DAY” by Brian Nadeau | |
Date: | 7/16/2023 |
Featured Track/Race: | Saratoga – Race 4 |
Race overview: | A competitive field of 14k N3L’s sprinting 6Fs on the main. |
Pace: | It looks honest, as there are more than a few who want to be involved early, though none of them a pure burners either, so it doesn’t have the feel of a race that will fall apart late. |
Trends: | It’s early in the meet, so there’s nothing current to gleam, though as a general rule of thumb, being close early on the main track is always a positive. |
Best Play: | #6 ENSIGN PARKER (5-1): Well-drawn runner tried to wire last time and held well, while well clear of the rest, and he looks primed in what is the third start of his form cycle. |
Bet Types: | Aggressive WP bet and single in the early Pk5/Pk4, and to kick off the middle Pk4 as well. |
