Nadeau: Gulfstream Play of the Day Sat 3.23.24
“PLAY of the DAY” by Brian Nadeau | |
Date | 3/23/21 |
Featured track | Gulfstream Park |
Race number | 9 |
Race overview | A strong AOC for f/ms 4up going 1m70 yards on Tapeta (note this was originally scheduled for turf but will VERY likely be run on Tapeta after heavy rains Friday that are going into Saturday). |
Pace | Depending on who stays in, it should be honest up front, as a few on the outside want to go early. |
Trends | When it rains the Tapeta can tighten up and play to speed and inside runners, which is traditionally not the case going long; with that being said, it’s best to watch the earlier races to get a gauge. |
Best Play | #3 FIVE TOWNS (5-1): Euro-bred had a really rough trip in her U.S. debut and first start for Motion, in what was off a September layoff, when she had a ton of traffic on the turf, and she figures to move up from that, and she has an all-weather win too. |
Bet Types | Aggressive WP bet and single in the late Pk5/Pk4 as well. |
Play of the Day Winners | GP POD (through 3/10): 61-17-10-10 ($1.69/$4.86)
