Capital District Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation is a public benefit corporation formed in 1971. Capital OTB provides legalized wagering on horse racing and lottery products with all profits distributed to local governments and the racing industry. Over a span of 30-plus years the corporation has 18 branches and more than 30 EZ Bet locations throughout New York State from the Canadian border, to the Catskills, east to the Massachusetts and Vermont borders and west to the Madison and Cortland counties.
Description:
Capital District OTB is looking for a Mini Parlor Vault Attendant. This position is a Union Senior position requiring approximately 40 hours per week over five (5) or six (6) days a week depending on the needs of the Branch Operations Department. Weekend and holiday availability is a must. Knowledge of horse wagering and operation of online terminal system is helpful but not necessary. A paid training program will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of branch facilities and operations.
- Perform daily reconciliation of branch activity.
- Maintain and balance a cash drawer.
- Sell or cash lottery tickets in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Educate customers on how to wager at self-service terminals.
- Daily bank deposits.
- Responsible for security, efficiency and cleanliness of both inside and outside of the branch.
- Providing outstanding customer service and racing entertainment to our patrons.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
- Experience handling cash transactions.
- Banking or teller experience is highly desirable.
