Nadeau: Saratoga Play of the Day Wed 8.9.23
“PLAY of the DAY” by Brian Nadeau | |
Date: | 8/9/2023 |
Featured Track/Race: | Saratoga – Race 9 |
Race overview: | A really good Johnstone Mile for NYB f/ms going 1-mile on the main. |
Pace: | It should be honest, as there are more than a few here who want to be involved early, especially with a stretch to a (kind of) two turns. |
Trends: | The main track has been on the fair side all meet, though as a general rule, you want to have tactical speed sprinting, as races rarely fall apart in the lane. |
Best Play: | #5 BETSY BLUE (3-1): Rice runner got the perfect comeback last time when she was 4th in a fast race (the Dancing Renee), shouldn’t mind the added ground/turn here, and has a stalking style that should play well just off the speed. |
Bet Types: | Aggressive WP bet and single in the late Pk5/Pk4 as well. |
POD/Meet Stats: | Sar POD: 17-3-4-1 ($1.54 /$4.24)
Sar Meet Overall: 191-43-40-32 ($1.68/$5.07) |
